Auction Raises 84,000 for Prison Ministry

The Gospel Echoes Team 22nd Annual Benefit Auction raised $84,000 in support prison ministry. The weekend started with an Open House, Hay Stack Supper, and Concert. Items were also sold on Friday evening, April 9. Saturday, April 10 started with a pancake and sausage breakfast which included fried mush and tomato gravy. The auction featured 79 quilts and wall-hangings, furniture and many miscellaneous items. Attendees came from Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Ohio, Michigan, Maryland, New York, and Manitoba. Cheese Curds from Kalona, brought $20.00 for a 1 pound bag, Trail Bologna 2 rings for $50.00 to name a few of the items that sold. Many generous donors and volunteers made the sale a great success. Proceeds from the auction help to purchase Bible Study Correspondence Courses provided to prison inmates throughout North America.
